Staats, Coleman Announce Over $1.2 Million in Commonwealth Financing Authority Grants for Local Infrastructure Projects
January 21, 2026
HARRISBURG – Rep. Craig Staats (R-Bucks) and Sen. Jarrett Coleman (R-Bucks/Lehigh) announced four local projects in Bucks County have been awarded funding through the Commonwealth Financing Authority to support critical water, wastewater and fire protection infrastructure totaling over $1.2 million.
“These grants support the kind of infrastructure work that keeps our communities running day in and day out,” Staats said. “Upgrading water systems, wastewater facilities and fire protection is not flashy work, but it is essential. I am glad to see Commonwealth Financing Authority funding directed to projects that protect public safety and strengthen our towns.”
The following projects were approved for funding:
• Borough of Riegelsville received $238,653 for a public water supply emergency generator to help maintain service during power outages.
• East Rockhill Township was awarded $210,000 toward the refurbishment of the South Aeration Tank at the township’s wastewater treatment plant.
• Telford Borough Authority received $389,114 to purchase grinder pumps for the County Line Road Low Pressure System project.
• Springtown Water Authority was awarded $419,665 for fire protection and water distribution improvements.
Staats said these projects address long-term needs that directly affect residents’ health and safety and help local authorities maintain reliable service.
“I appreciate the work of my legislative partners in supporting these local priorities,” Staats said. “These investments will have a lasting impact on the communities they serve.”
“These improvements will help municipalities operate their water systems more efficiently while easing costs for local residents,” Coleman said. “They represent smart, long-term investments in the infrastructure our communities rely on every day.”
